After all the work for preparations and the planning, our wedding day turned out as we had imagined it to be. To share this day with our friends and familiy made it even more special, really a day we will never forget. Finally we managed to compile a selection of impressions from the day. If we couldn’t invite you on our wedding day, we would love to invite you soon to catch up.
Meeting the bride
Inge had spent the night in the hotel nearby where I went to pick her up with the decorated car. It was quite a busy morning, hair styling, dressing up, driving to pick up the flowers and, of course, remembering to bring the rings…
Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the old townhall from 1450 where all was set for us in the traditional wedding room lined with ancient art and stained glass windows. It was great to sign the official documents in a building with such a history.
Coffee & cake
A short walking distance away we had arranged to meet everyone in the tiny restaurant which used to be the lock keepers cabin located just next to the historycal ships in the museum harbour.
Photoshoot
We were lucky with the scenery of colored leaves and the beautiful streets of Gouda. And I am the luckiest man in the world, as you may clearly see on the pictures.
Evening
After a short break we were awaited at the restaurant De Kleischuur, they serverd a great dinner and provided a fantastic ambiance. Our close family and friends had prepared speeches, games and other experiences which made the evening really special.
Thanks
Above photographs were made by Arno Hoogwerf who delivered fantastic work. You may see the full album here, use Inge’s new last name as password…
Also a big thank you to Noud for capturing the evening.
Finally, a big thank you to our witnesses Sasja and Iris, to Rosalie for playing Harp for us and of course to you all for coming and helping us making this day unforgettable.
